We begin with the concept stage
This is where we delve into the internal and external considerations that will influence your new space. We ask you questions around how you like to dine, relax, work and entertain. We start to tease out the most important priorities for your lifestyle and budgetary constraints. Externally we start to get a sense of the physical context and regulatory guidelines at play.
By the end of this stage you will have:
two concept plan options
two 3d concept models
a written return brief and timeline
an existing site plan and site analysis
In our original meet and greet session we take a look at the existing context and get an understanding of what you are seeking. We like to ask lots of questions and listen at this point - we might look at existing projects we have done here or else see other examples you like.
We will work with you to develop the planning footprint and allocation of space. You will get two options here!
We are able to offer 3d view of the way we see the space evolving for you, taking into account all the site restraints, your needs and the qualities of the site including light and access. We use simple massing models at this point, but the design will look more realistic soon!
We like to give you a view from above and one from the human scale eye level.
We discuss with you which additional consultants may be needed for the project. Consultants may include a thermal assessor, a Structural Engineer or a cost consultant.
